The Russian Telecom Company OJSC "ASVT" is one of the first non-state communication enterprises founded in 1990 on the base of special maintained long-distance telephone network "ISKRA" and the first in Russia mobile radio-phone network "ALTAY". It was this network that the offices and the cars of the Soviet top economic and party leaders were equipped with. Wherever the subscribers happened to be they were always provided with condensed five-digit numbering, direct communications with Moscow, priority calls service.

The "Iskra" network provided information security as well. Now the Federal Business Service Network "Iskra" is a multifunctional infocommunication network, connecting 89 russian regions and providing services of digital communication to a wide range of users from state management bodies and big companies to small and medium business enterprises. Meant by Russian scientist and engineers to provide long-distance and local communication to the state management, ministries and departments, low administering bodies, military-industrial and defence complexes. The "Iskra" proved to be highly efficient during the years of operation. As a result of updating and reconstruction of the exhistent network on the basis of the latest technological decisions and introduction of the most modern telecom equipment it was possible to create a digital network unique in its functions the subscribers of which can get through to regional branches and partners in any place in the Russia and elsewhere in the world in time and without any interference. The "Altay" system was modernized too. Unlike cellular networks it provides such services as a circular call, conference communication, closed corporative network and complete coverage of Moscow and its regions including forests and reservoirs.. In addition to "Iskra" and "RusAltay" networks there is a network of personal radiocall allowing to give instructions to public services people such as municipal services, transportation, health service and etc.

A mobile radiophone network installed in gas stations and shopping centres in Moscow and its region is developing widely on the basis of "RusAltay" network. The Company is carrying out a number of regional projects of installing wireless access according to DECT & CDMA standards. The main principles of secured elite services are provided for in network projects and they are successfully maintained by OJSC "ASVT" personnel. All the services are voluntarily certifed in accordance with international quality standards. The Company is the winner and a prize-winner of quality contests organized by The Russian Ministry of Communication in the "Telecom Operator" nomination. It is also a prize-winner of the Russian contest of the best enterprises and organizations of the XXI Century.
